Welcome to Back Barn

Back Barn at Bedaw Farms is a rustic-chic wedding and event venue located on Bedaw Farms, a 40-acre working farm in Awendaw, South Carolina.
 

The venue combines the character of a refurbished dairy barn circa 1950 with a renovated grain silo, vaulted wooden beams, rustic wood textures, and warm lighting. Convenient, accessible parking is located on-site.
 

Back Barn accommodates up to 175 guests comfortably. The open layout provides flexibility for ceremonies, receptions, dinners, parties, and other events – making it ideal for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.

Covered Pavilion

Our new 30 ft. open-air, timber-frame pavilion, attached to the barn, provides an inviting covered space to accommodate your wedding or event plans. The pavilion features concrete floors, wooden beams, lighting, and an entrance to the barn.

A Working Farm as Your Event Setting

Back Barn sits within a 40-acre working Lowcountry farm.
 

The property provides natural settings for photographs, including countryside, woodland, the goat farm, and nearby horse stables.
 

Your event can have the character of a private farm while remaining close to Charleston.

Back Barn and the pavilion accommodate up to 175 guests.

Approximately 50 parking spaces are located adjacent to Back Barn, with additional parking for approximately 125 vehicles within easy walking distance.
 
Back Barn is located on one level and is accessible for guests with mobility challenges.

Back Barn also does not have permanent restroom facilities. Mobile restroom facilities are required for events and are not included in the venue fee. We can provide recommendations for local vendors.

Farmhouse rental option for Back Barn events

Farmhouse Option

The Farmhouse is available as a private rental and can also be rented together with Back Barn for weddings and other events.
 

If you choose to rent both the Farmhouse and Back Barn, the two reservations must be made at the same time.
